Good news! Our non-woven wallpaper can be applied to various surfaces, as long as they are completely smooth and properly prepared. This ensures the best possible result and prevents any irregularities from showing through the wallpaper.
Suitable surfaces include:
-
Smooth painted walls
-
Smooth concrete
-
Smooth sand-lime brick
-
Smooth plastered walls
-
Renovation fleece wallpaper
-
Smooth finished plasterboard or gypsum walls
-
MDF panels (without a plastic coating)
-
OSB panels (if properly prepared)
What else should you keep in mind?
-
Wooden panels (such as MDF or OSB) must not have a plastic layer and should be thick enough to prevent warping.
-
Highly absorbent surfaces (such as new plaster or concrete) should always be primed first to ensure proper adhesion.
-
If your wall has bright colors or color variations, paint it first in a uniform light color (preferably white) to prevent it from showing through the wallpaper.
-
Renovation fleece wallpaper is not the same as fiberglass wallpaper. Renovation fleece is smooth and the only type of wallpaper that can safely be covered with new wallpaper. We do not recommend applying wallpaper over any other wallpaper types.
